Designed and built to capture views to urban parkland, this multi-function Garden Suite is an exciting addition to our client’s property. It provides valuable space for accommodation, storage and hobbies.
– BACKGROUND
Our clients wanted a suite, workshop and artist’s studio, attached to a 24’x24’ garage. The garage and workshop are on the first floor while the second floor shares various functions. It is approximately 540 SF but feels larger thanks to a large light dormer and cathedral ceilings.
This Garden Suite strives for modern farmhouse vibes. Timeless board and batten fibre cement siding in creamy tones contrasts with earthy taupes.
The suite has an upgraded insulation package and radiant heating throughout both floors. Metal clad PVC triple pane windows and doors provide additional insulation and sound deadening. A single overhead door off the workshop opens up to the interior yard. This will make for many enjoyable days working inside and out.
